Sentiments Won’t Work Out This Time?

The current situation presents a challenging scenario, and it’s no longer sufficient to merely proclaim accomplishments or rely on sentiment to garner votes. People have become more discerning, and the idea of blindly supporting a leader is fading. It seems that the horoscopes of leaders in the Telangana assembly elections may not change unless they put in significant effort.

Even parties that once held sentimental sway, like BRS in 2018, are finding it difficult to recapture that sentiment. And even if they do, it’s not guaranteed that people will immediately trust and vote for them. Stirring up sentiment appears to be an uphill battle, and the Congress party is facing a similar predicament. Issues such as internal disunity, leadership attitude, and defections have hindered their prospects.

Whether it’s Congress or BRS, the public seems disinterested, focusing more on the individual candidates. Surveys consistently show that no single party enjoys unwavering support. People are not outright dismissing any party.

Looking at the survey results, it becomes evident that there’s a shift in power dynamics, irrespective of a party’s historical role in bringing Telangana. It’s a reminder that leaders need to work hard and earn the people’s trust rather than relying solely on past accomplishments.
