In the 1983 elections, KCR faced a defeat when he contested for the first time under the TDP banner. However, this setback did not deter him, and he went on to achieve consecutive victories in both MP and MLA elections in various constituencies like Siddipet, Karimnagar, and Mahbubnagar. Since the formation of Telangana, he has consistently secured victories in Gajwel. Now, as the next election approaches, it appears that KCR might face a tougher challenge.
Congress and BJP are determined to unseat the ruling TRS party in the upcoming elections, and both parties have their sights set on KCR. KCR is set to contest from both Gajwel and Kamareddy in the upcoming elections.
In these two constituencies, both Congress and BJP have fielded key leaders who are determined to defeat KCR. Etala Rajender from BJP is contesting in Gajwel, while Revanth Reddy from Congress is running in Kamareddy. Like KCR, they are also contesting in two constituencies.
Etala, who is fighting to retain his seat in Huzurabad, is making a strong effort to challenge KCR in Gajwel and has already begun his campaign there. On the other hand, KCR has decided to contest from Kamareddy for the first time.
However, he faces a formidable opponent in the form of TPCC President Revanth Reddy, whose sole objective is to defeat KCR. Revanth is also running in his own constituency, Kodangal. The outcome of the elections in Gajwel and Kamareddy will determine KCR’s political standing, and a victory in both constituencies would further solidify his reputation as a formidable leader.
