In a big shot in the arm, the Jana Sena party candidates were alloted glass tumbler symbol, ahead of the 2024 Assembly elections. All the candidates given B-form by the JS party authorities can contest on the symbol.
At the same time, the same symbol would be the free symbol in places where Jana Sena candidates are not contesting.
The allocation of glass symbol to Jana Sena is a big relief to the party which would contest elections in both the Telugu states.
However, there are apprehensions that keeping the glass tumbler symbol could create confusion if it is considered both as a reserved and free symbol. But, it would be allotted only to the JSP candidates in constituencies from where they are contesting and would be a free symbol in those places where the JSP is not contesting.
In Andhra Pradesh, the JSP has declared an alliance with the TDP and the BJP too. However, the BJP is not in an alliance with the TDP.
In Telangana, the TDP had abstained from contesting the elections and the JSP is contesting the elections in an alliance with the BJP.
