The political fervour surrounding the election in Telangana has heightened. The latest is that the Congress party has erected innovative hoardings mocking its political rivals. Creatively, the Congress party displayed puppet billboards at the key locations of Hyderabad city.
The billboards depict Prime Minister Modi as a puppeteer, manipulating Telangana CM and BRS president KCR, as MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi. These “puppet” displays are strategically placed at major junctions, including HITEC City. Accusing BRS and MIM of colluding with the BJP, Congress leaders have consistently made these allegations at rallies, with Rahul Gandhi branding BRS and MIM as the B and C teams of the BJP.
The BRS, vying for a third consecutive term, is engaged in a direct contest with the Congress party. MIM, a supportive ally of the BRS, is contesting nine seats, all within Hyderabad city, while endorsing the ruling party in the remaining areas of the state. BJP has tied up with Janasena and contesting the polls. Janasena is confined to meagre 8 Assembly seats as part of a poll tie-up.
Earlier it was BRS vs BJP where one witnessed the hoardings war. During the by-elections and the GHMC polls, both the BRS and BJP had put posters and hoardings against one another. Officials had a tough time removing them. Now it is the turn of the Congress leaders to take on BRS, BJP and MIM.
