Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena Party and TDP top brass have been sorting out important aspects of the alliance ahead of the coming election in Andhra Pradesh. The MLA and MP seat sharing has also come into discussion in these meetings. Currently, the two parties are busy with the preparation of a joint manifesto and a committee involving both parties is working on it.
Coming to the topic, it is understood that the JSP high command has locked one of its MP candidates for the coming polls and it is Konidela Naga Babu, the elder brother of Pawan Kalyan. It is established that Janasena and TDP have agreed on Naga Babu’s candidature from the Kakinada parliamentary constituency in the coming elections. It is all but confirmed that Naga Babu will be given the Kakinada MP ticket and he will contest from here in the 2024 election.
A few say Naga Babu will only be confined to overseeing party activities and skip contesting in the elections. But in view of the TDP-JSP alliance, the equation appears to have changed and Naga Babu is indeed looking to contest.
The Janasena party senior leader had contested from the Narsapuram parliamentary constituency in the last election and had a failed campaign here as he stood at the third position far behind YCP and TDP. So, he is contemplating a change in constituencies this time around. It is also heard that Pawan Kalyan will be extensively campaigning for Naga Babu in Kakinada constituency this time. The added advantage of the TDP alliance will also come to help the cause. Can Naga Babu change his fortune from Kakinada and post a victory here? We shall wait and see.
