In fact, this upcoming general election is something special because of the kind of political heat and wave that is in the state of Telangana. Both the ruling BRS party and the prime-opposition Congress along with the newly growing Bharatiya Janata Party, are at loggerheads, and canvassing more aggressively. And their ad campaigns have become quite hard-hitting with each party using creativity to the core.
Apparently, the Congress Party’s ads are filled with a ‘pink car’ that causes trouble for the people, while TRS ads are laced with highlighting KCR’s schemes and showcasing how happy people are. At the same time, BJP’s ads are a mixed bag, some targeting the schemes and some slinging mud on KCR. Giving a shocker to all of them, the Election Commission of India has now banned 6 ads of the Congress party including the popular ones featuring ‘car’, 5 ads of BJP, and 4 ads of BRS. While the notification was given almost four days ago, these ads are still circulating on social media like YouTube and Twitter, and it looks like slowly they will be taken down.
After issuing these notifications, the Election Commission is said to have now issued new guidelines for every political leader to obtain their clearance before issuing an ad in the media. Also, media editors and social media companies are advised to promote the ad only after looking into EC’s NOC for the same.
