As election fever grips Telangana ahead of the polling on November 30th, all leading parties are going all out to attract voters with their poll promises. While the ruling BRS party and the main opposition Congress party released their respective election manifestos filled with plenty of freebies, the Bharatiya Janata Party is expected to release the same this weekend as Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to campaign in the state.
While addressing a public meeting in the Gadwal constituency, Amit Shah gave a surprising offer to the people of Telangana. He said if they elect the BJP government in the state, a free darshan to Ram Mandir in Ayodhya will be arranged by the party. He said the Modi government is going to consecrate Lord Ram’s idol in Ayodhya in a grand manner on January 22nd and all those who wish to visit the temple will be provided a free darshan covering all expenses by the BJP government if it is voted to power in the upcoming elections.
This is indeed a shocking offer from the BJP and it seems like they are running out of ideas to woo the voters in the run-up to the second assembly elections in the state.
Taking a swipe at the Chief Minister of Telangana K. Chandra Sekhar Rao, Amit Shah said the BRS party failed to fulfill various promises after the separation of the state and also alleged that it didn’t spend the funds allotted by the central government.
Amit Shah reiterated that the BJP will stand by its promise of electing a BC Chief Minister if it is given the mandate. He lashed out at KCR and his party for not fully utilizing the BC welfare funds allocated by the centre in the last five years. He exhorted the people of Telangana to end dynasty politics in the state and give a chance to the BJP.
