However, the party faces challenges from anti-incumbency sentiments, particularly among the youth, students, and those who did not benefit from previous schemes. Despite this, the BRS is expected to secure over 70 seats and form the government, signaling continued dominance in the state.
The Congress, while making strides with an increase in both vote share and seats, falls short of securing the magic figure. The survey reveals confusion among the public regarding leadership within the Congress, raising concerns about potential instability in a Congress-led government. The perception that their flagship ‘6-Guarantees’ mirror existing BRS schemes poses a risk, and the party’s track record, coupled with political instability in Karnataka, further dampens support.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), once a formidable contender, has slipped in the rankings and may trail even behind the AIMIM. Despite victories in certain constituencies, internal developments, including defections and leadership changes, have created uncertainty. The BJP, however, has significantly increased its vote share, creating a neck-and-neck competition with the BRS in some constituencies, with the INC trailing in the third position.
The survey also sheds light on other players, such as the AIMIM, BSP, and CPI. The AIMIM, traditionally strong in specific constituencies, faces a potential loss in Nampally to the Congress. The BSP, holding approximately 1% of the vote bank, sees increased attention due to the candidacy of retired IPS officer RS Praveen Kumar.
