Former Joint Director of the CBI and ex-IPS officer VV Lakshminarayana is poised to make a foray into politics with the formation of a potential new party. While not currently affiliated with any political party, Lakshminarayana stepped into the political arena before the 2019 elections after resigning from his CBI position. He contested as an MP from Visakhapatnam under the Jana Sena banner.
Despite garnering public affection and support, Lakshminarayana faced defeat in the election, leading to his disassociation from Jana Sena. Rejecting invitations from both TDP and YCP, he declared his intention to run independently in the upcoming 2024 parliamentary elections from Visakhapatnam.
However, there has been a recent shift in Lakshminarayana’s stance. He now acknowledges the possibility of forming a new party if deemed necessary. Speaking to the media, he announced the organization of the Visakha Mega Job Mela on December 2 under the auspices of JD Foundation and Expert Human Development Foundation. The job fair, featuring participation from over 50 companies, aims to provide employment opportunities, with offer letters to be distributed during the event.
Highlighting a commitment to skill development, Lakshminarayana mentioned a program for candidates with educational qualifications of class 10 and above who may be lagging behind. He intends to reveal his political plans for the upcoming elections in the second week of December.
Notably, there have been recent statements from Lakshminarayana praising the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP). While speculations circulate about his potential alignment with the YSRCP, the emergence of a possible new political entity has added a layer of unpredictability to his political future.
