Chandrababu Gets Back Into Action

Published by

TDP boss N. Chandrababu Naidu has switched to action mode, holding a meeting with the TDP Parliamentary leaders at his Undavalli residence this evening. He discussed the party’s action plan with the TDP MPs and TDP Andhra Pradesh president K. Atchannaidu. The party leaders are hoping to wrest power from the YCP in the wake of the anti-incumbency and sympathy wave, following the arrest of their party supremo.

As Naidu is set to resume his campaigning after being out on regular bail following his arrest in connection with the Skill Development Case, he tried to understand the existing political situation in the state. It is nearly 90 days since he was forced to stall campaigning following his arrest on September 9. He is expected to restart his electioneering very soon, explaining the people about the atrocities of the YCP government.

Naidu returned home completing his pilgrimage to the Lord Balaji temple in Tirumala and Goddess Kanakadurga temple in Vijayawada. He said that he prayed to God to give him strength to serve the public and that he always wished to see the Telugu state be in the No. 1 position in the entire world. He said he would rededicate himself to serving the people and work for the development of Andhra Pradesh.

Naidu received a rousing reception both in Tirupati and Vijayawada when he visited both places to pray at the temples.

Similarly, he received a warm welcome when he was released from the Rajahmundry Central Prison after the court issued bail on medical grounds.

Since Naidu’s arrest, even his son Nara Lokesh abandoned his Yuva Galam padayatra and kept doing rounds of New Delhi to fight off the corruption charges made against him and his father in connection with Amaravati Inner Ring Road, FiberNet cases. There was buzz even Lokesh would be arrested but he managed to get the anticipatory bail.

For more than 60 days, Naidu was lodged in the Rajamahendravaram Central Jail during which Telugus and techies from neighbouring Telangana and even abroad expressed their solidarity with Naidu staging protests and taking out candlelight rallies.

Now, it has to be seen how many people would turn up for Naidu’s meetings and if they would vote for the party in the upcoming elections.
