With the exit polls indicating a clear majority to the Congress, many party leaders are aspiring for ministerial berths and other appointed posts. Exit poll organisers also said that their predictions were more accurate this time as they had contacted many people, compared to that in 2018. The Congress party is also gearing up to form the government.
With the predictions likely to become a reality, several party leaders are lobbying for significant posts in the Congress government. Right from the chief ministership to various other positions, there are many in the race.
Those names whose names are prominently being heard are Jana Reddy (he had not contested the election but is asking for a post either in the legislative council or a ministerial berth), Shabbir Ali, Uttam Kumar Reddy, his wife Padmavathi(is in the race for a Cabinet post), Mohammed Azharuddin, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, PJR daughter Vijaya, Komatireddy Venkatreddy and many others.
In addition to them, there are many others who had not contested the elections but are close to the top leadership and expecting some kind of posts. They argue that they had worked hard to strengthen the party for the last 10 years and that there is no wrong in expecting a post. Though there is some logic in their argument, is there so much space to accommodate all these leaders?
Let us wait and see as to how many can make it to the top posts.
