The long-awaited counting day is finally here in Telangana as the counting of the postal ballot votes has been completed and the all-important EVM counting has begun. Going by the early trends, Congress is taking a decisive lead while BRS is trailing far behind.
With the early trends suggesting that Congress is leading in twice as many constituencies as BRS, the Revanth Reddy led party has started preparations to cement its position with its trademark camp politics.
Reportedly, Congress is on the verge of shifting its MLAs through specially allocated buses, helicopters, and even private planes.
As of now, Congress has reportedly deployed 4 buses at the Taj Hotel in Hyderabad and also two special flights at Shamshabad Airport. The party leadership has also prepared 4 helicopters to quickly shift their MLAs, if needed.
The plan is that Congress should have all of its winning MLAs in one place, preferably in Hyderabad so it is easier to polarize and monitor the number game in case the magic figure turns tricky. This is Congress’s attempt to prevent KCR from poaching their MLAs in the last minute.
