Telangana Congress has put an end to the 48-hour wait on the next chief minister of Telangana. The Congress party has officially announced Kodangal MLA and the TPCC chief, Revanth Reddy is appointed as the chief minister of Telangana.
The Congress high command has announced that Revanth has been appointed as the CLP leader and he will be taking charge as the chief minister.
Congress veteran KC Venu Gopal has announced the news and Revanth’s camp is rejoicing the same as the firebrand leader has realized the long-standing dream of standing as the chief minister of Telangana.
This comes right after Revanth was invited to Delhi to meet Congress bigwigs. While the decision to appoint Revanth as the CM seemed straightforward from the start, given the fact that he was the one who led an intense campaign, other names like Bhatti Vikramarka popped up briefly. But Congress put an end to the suspense and announced Revanth as the CLP leader.
Revanth will be taking charge as the chief minister of Telangana on the 7th of December and he will enter the record book as the second chief minister of Telangana. The state has a new CM apart from KCR for the first time in its history.
