Telangana CS Orders, No File Should Go Out!

Published by

The Congress is gearing up to form the government while the BRS ministers are vacating their offices (peshis), along with their paraphernalia.

Followers of BRS ministers are clearing the files and taking away all their leaders’ belongings from the offices.
There is information that Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari had issued orders that no papers, pendrives and CDs should be taken away from the premises, even if they are personal belongings and accordingly, the security guards are frisking every individual and bag leaving the Secretariat. They were also instructed to send back any paper or pen drive, if found to be carried away by the visitors. At the same time, the guards were also asked to inform the higher officials if they found anything suspicious.

Reportedly, the CS also instructed the GAD officials also to seize computers, digital aids and pendrives following which they are visiting every office being vacated and writing inventories.

Meanwhile, there is buzz that the CS was being precautious in issuing such orders. There is no clarity on if the orders were issued after some files had gone missing already. It is learnt that the CS is focusing on confidential files and important information.

The staff files are being handed over to the respective department head offices by the peshis of various ministries. At the same time, the CS has reportedly asked secretaries of various departments to tally if all the files which have been handed over to the ministers’ peshis had been returned to the authorities.

It is pertinent to note that right after the counting of votes, there was a major fire mishap at the tourism office where many important files relating to the tourism and forest department were deposited. CPI Narayana expressed doubt over the incident and said that he felt a conspiracy by the BRS government behind the fire suggesting that it could be to cover up the ‘rampant corruption’ because the tourism department MD was suspended by the Election Commission of India recently for violation of poll code.

It has to be seen if there would be any ruckus over ‘missing files’ in the coming days.
