PK’s First Comments On CM Revanth Reddy

Published by

Political strategist Prashant Kishore (PK) commented on the recent Congress victory in Telangana, expressing his belief that if Revanth Reddy had been announced as the chief ministerial candidate before the elections, the party would have achieved a clean sweep.

PK pointed out the confusion among the public due to the absence of a clear chief ministerial candidate before the elections, with multiple leaders claiming the position. He suggested that declaring Revanth Reddy as the candidate earlier would have garnered more support, potentially resulting in the Congress winning 100 seats instead of the current 64.

Discussing the political landscape in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan, PK noted that people felt Hindutva had been restrained, and the BJP effectively redirected the anti-Congress vote in its favor. PK criticized both the BRS party and Congress for not effectively sensing the anti-government sentiment. He highlighted the lack of opposition in Madhya Pradesh, attributing it to constant monitoring by the central government and direct interference in state politics by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Addressing the upcoming general elections, PK expressed concerns about the INDIA alliance, suggesting that the seat dispute might significantly impact the alliance. He criticized the strategy of fielding only one candidate per seat, stating that it is not feasible and could lead to a breakdown of the alliance. PK urged a correction of this strategy to enhance the alliance’s chances of progress.
