AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy is fully involved in shuffling his MLA candidates for the coming elections. Earlier today, several YCP MLAs queued up at the AP CM camp office in Tadepalli to get assurance from Jagan regarding their MLA candidature. In this connection, Jagan has reportedly taken an interesting decision on JSP MLA Rapaka Vara Prasad who has been with YCP for the last 4 and a half years.
The latest buzz is that Jagan has finalized the plan to send Rapaka to parliamentary elections by giving him Amalapuram MP ticket. This indirectly confirms that Rapaka will not be given his sitting Razole MLA ticket by YCP. It appears that Jagan has someone else in mind for the Razole MLA constituency.
Despite moving closely with YCP after the election, Rapaka didn’t join the party officially so he is technically still a JSP MLA. If Jagan really has decided to deny him the MLA ticket and instead allot Amalapuram MP ticket, will Rapaka take offense to it and feel betrayed after staying with Jagan for 4 and a half years as he is denied the MLA ticket? This could be the case as the MLA seat is the more priced possession for most of active politicians.
