Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s party in New Delhi stirred a hornet’s nest in Tadepalli.
Revanth Reddy hosted a party to his collegues in New Delhi after resigning to the MP post as he had sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Telangana.
On information that several of the YCP MPs, including K. Raghu Ramakrishna Raju, Bala Shouri, Magunta Srinivasula Reddy, Adala Prabhakar Reddy and Niranjan Reddy from the Rajya Sabha, attended Revanth’s party, YCP boss and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was peeved and it is learnt he even admonished them.
Ahead of the elections, Jagan seems to get agitated even at the slightest provocation, in the wake of the buzz over the poor prospects of the party in the 2024 polls.
Further, Revanth is a staunch disciple of Jagan’s bete noire and TDP supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu which led to extreme discomfiture.
Reportedly, Jagan fumed at the MPs for their presence at Revanth’s party without informing either to him or to the party leadership.
He grilled them over what signals would their attendance at the party send to the public.
Significantly, YCP MP V. Vijayasai Reddy also threw a party to the MPs last night and his party colleagues reportedly attended this party and then moved to Revanth’s residence.
According to sources, Jagan was apprised of the entire affair his trusted lieutenant Mithun Reddy.
It has to be seen if there would be any repercussions of Revanth’s reception.
