Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan has strategically targeted Konaseema, particularly East Godavari district, leading to the organization of a three-day camp in Kakinada. During this camp, leaders from all constituencies in the district were invited to discuss party strategies for the upcoming elections. Pawan Kalyan, having conducted surveys across all 175 constituencies, is now reviewing the situation with leaders from East Godavari district.
The discussions revolve around analyzing the vote shares received by the YCP and the TDP-Janasena candidates in the previous elections. The party aims to strengthen its position based on these insights. Party sources suggest that Janasena might contest in Rajolu, P Gannavaram, and Ramachandrapuram constituencies in Konaseema district, leaving the remaining constituencies for TDP.
Pawan Kalyan is reportedly focusing on Rajolu, P Gannavaram, and Ramachandrapuram, where Janasena is likely to field candidates. Potential candidates include Bontu Rajeswara Rao in Rajolu, Pitani Balakrishna or Chikkala Dorababu in Ramachandrapuram, and NRI Penumala John Babu or his wife Devi in P Gannavaram.
Despite TDP’s stronghold in these three constituencies, there are indications that Chandrababu Naidu might concede them as part of an alliance agreement. However, dissatisfaction among Janasena leaders may arise due to the reservation status of two out of the three constituencies. Despite these challenges, Pawan Kalyan is gearing up to announce the candidates in January, and constituency-wise reviews are underway in Konaseema district.
