In preparation for the upcoming parliamentary elections, KCR has devised a comprehensive action plan, focusing on engaging with key party members. The schedule includes strategic meetings with MLAs, MPs, MLCs, and prominent party leaders across 17 parliamentary constituencies. These meetings, commencing on January 3rd and concluding on January 21st, are tailored to ensure thorough coverage.
KCR has allocated specific dates for leaders from each parliamentary constituency, emphasizing a proactive approach in the lead-up to the elections. Notably, recent setbacks, such as the loss in the Singareni elections, have prompted KCR to intensify efforts within the Telangana platform. Monthly meetings are planned, with a goal of interacting with all stakeholders at least three times before the parliamentary elections.
Concurrently, surveys are underway to evaluate potential candidates for the elections, and decisions are expected to be finalized by the commencement of the scheduled meetings. The meetings, starting with Adilabad constituency and concluding with Hyderabad and Secunderabad, will temporarily pause during the Sankranti festival.
KCR intends to address the narrow margins in previous assembly elections, particularly in closely contested constituencies. Action plans for securing majority support in these areas will be discussed during the scheduled meetings. Following comprehensive party reviews and candidate selection, KCR plans to engage directly with the public. Despite currently being on bed rest due to a hip fracture, KCR aims to be physically fit for public meetings, with the six-week rest period advised by doctors expected to conclude in time for the anticipated February notification.
The significance of securing a majority in the elections is not lost on KCR, who is acutely aware of the potential consequences for the party. The carefully crafted action plan reflects the party’s commitment to achieving success in the upcoming elections, emphasizing the critical role of grassroots engagement and strategic planning.
