All is not well between the Kesineni brothers. Vijayawada MP Kesineni Srinivas (Nani) vs Kesineni Shivanath (Chinni) has become a headache for TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu. The latest is their rift is out in the open as their respective followers exchanged blows.
Ahead of Chandrababu Naidu’s visit to Tiruvuru in Vijayawada district on January 7th, The TDP has organized a coordination meeting. As the coordination meeting started, Chinni arrived at the party office to participate. However, the supporters of Nani opposed Chinni’s presence, blocking his way. This escalated into a confrontation between the two groups of Kesineni brothers leading to a tense atmosphere.
Supporters from both sides engaged in physical altercations, throwing furniture and turning the premises into a battleground. They also assaulted the police officers attempting to restore order, leading to injuries to Sub-inspector Satish, who was promptly taken to the hospital.
Going into details, the Kesineni brothers had separately been overseeing the arrangements for Naidu’s visit with local leaders. In preparation for the visit, a coordination meeting took place on Wednesday, which was also attended by Jana Sena activists.
However, the flexi banner for the meeting featured the photo of Kesineni Chinni, while the photo of his brother Kesineni Nani was conspicuously absent. This angered Nani’s ardent supporters. Upon noticing Chinni entering the office premises, they tore the flexi displaying his photo.
On the other hand, Pawan’s photo in the flexi banner, next to Chinni, was also torn. This action disappointed the Jana Sena activists since the photo of their leader Pawan Kalyan was also printed on the flexi banner. In protest, they stood up from their seats and boycotted the meeting.
The Nani group further attacked the Tiruvuru in-charge of the party, preventing Chinni from entering the party premises. With this, the coordination meeting ended abruptly due to chaos without any discussions taking place.
