YSRCP is going through a tough phase. The shuffling of in-charges and candidates for the Assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies has become a big headache for the party to deal with. Even senior leaders are extremely unhappy with the party’s decision. The other day Minister Gudivada Amarnath turned emotional and burst into tears over vacating his Anakapalle constituency to facilitate Malashala Bharat. The resignations of several leaders are giving jitters to the ruling party.
Now the latest we hear is that Machilipatnam Lok Sabha MP Balashouri is all set to jump into the TDP. Balashouri is a senior leader who has a good hold in the Guntur district. Earlier, he had served as Tenali MP from the Congress party under late YSR leadership in 2004.
If he leaves YCP, it is expected to be a big setback. As per reports, several sitting MLAs, MPs and aspirants are contemplating shifting their loyalties to the Opposition. Some others may travel with YS Sharmila who is all set to join the Congress and take over the mantle of AP Congress.
Recently, Amaravati MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, MLC C Ramachandraiah, and MLC Vamsi Krishna Yadav have already left the ruling party, besides the previously left MLA Vundavalli Sridevi (Tadikonda Assembly), Mekapati Chandra Sekhar Reddy (Udayagiri), Anam Ramanarayana Reddy (Venkatagiri constituency) and Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy representing Nellore Rural.
