Nani: I never back-stabbed Chandra Babu

Published by

After decades-long journey with the Telugu Desam Party, Kesineni Nani finds himself being ousted from the party. Chandra Babu Naidu has conveyed to Nani that he is no longer in the party’s plans for the elections and he will not be given the Vijayawada MP ticket.

Nani, however, vows to remain loyal for the party. He spoke with the media after Babu conveyed to him that Vijayawada MP ticket is being given to someone else. “I never backstabbed Chandra Babu Naidu. If I am a man looking for troubles and fights, there would have been many quarrels in Nara Lokesh’s Yuvagalam but I didn’t let that happen. Anyway, Chandra Babu left me, but I haven’t left Chandra Babu. I will obey his orders”

Nani hinted that he will contest from Vijayawada MP segment as an independent, if so, he will be taking on his own brother Kesineni Chinni who is likely to get TDP MP ticket here.

Kesineni wasn’t in good terms with TDP for the last 18 months – 2 years. The long straddle has ended with Chandra Babu deciding to let go off Nani and go ahead with other leaders in Vijayawada. Nani says he will announced his next political decision in February. YCP could also be waiting on the sidelines to get the services of this deep-pocketed Vijayawada MP who comes with a lot of political expertise up his sleeve.
