Kurnool MP Quits YCP, Resigns MP Post

Published by

Kurnool district is a stronghold for YCP head YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as his party won all 14 MLA constituencies and also the MP seat here in the 2019 election. The sitting MP from here is Sanjeev Kumar Singari and he is regarded as a loyalist of Jagan.

However, Sanjeev Kumar has shifted tracks at the last minute as he has quit YSRCP. He resigned his MP post and also parted ways with YCP. He will be meeting the parliament speaker in the next two days and submit his resignation letter.

This comes in the wake of the rumors that YCP might be giving Kurnool MP ticket to Minister Jayaram. Sanjeev Kumar might have felt left out in the party and he has decided to part ways with Jagan’s party.

Other sitting MPs including Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy(Ongole) and Adala Prabhakar Reddy (Nellore) are displeased with Jagan and are ready to quit the party.
