Rajahmundry Rural Constituency Becomes Hot Seat

Published by

The Rajahmundry Rural constituency is turning into a hot seat with the Jana Sena and TDP locking horns for it and candidates of the respective parties busy carrying out their campaigns.

As of now, the constituency is in the TDP kitty. TDP senior leader Gorantla Bucchaiah Chowdary is the MLA from the constituency. At the same time, the Jana Sena is keen on contesting for the seat. From the YCP, minister Chelluboyina Venugopalakrishna is getting ready for the contest.

While Gorantla is claiming that he would contest from the constituency and is also busy campaigning, Jana Sena leader Kandula Durgesh is also campaigning in the constituency. Kandula is among the coterie of Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan and hence pinned a lot of hopes that his party boss would definitely allocate the seat to him.

One other important aspect to be observed about this constituency is that all the three vying for the seat belong to three different castes. While Gorantla belongs to Kamma, Kandula hails from the Kapu community and Chelluboyina is from BCs and with all of them having hold on their communities, they are hoping to clinch victory in the upcoming polls.

Now, if the suspense over the constituency should end, Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan should discuss and finalise who would take it. There is buzz that the issue had already been on the table and something could have been decided about it. It is just that the decision has not been revealed to the public. It has to be seen how would the leader of the other party react, if one of the TDP or Jana Sena candidates is finalized.
