Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) chairman Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao passed away today. He was 59. Last month, Srinivas was contracted with Corona Virus. He was admitted to hospital. He had recovered from COVID and tested negative.
However, he developed problem in his lungs. Due to breathing ailments, he was admitted to hospital again. As the ailment got complicated, doctors tried their best but in vain. His final rites will be performed tomorrow in Vizag. He is survived by his son Dronamraju Srivatsava.
Former MLA, Srinivasa Rao had earlier served as a Congress Whip in Kiran Kumar Reddy’s government. He had joined YSRCP before 2019 elections.
He had contested from Vizag South constituency in 2019 and lost to TDP leader Vasupalli Ganesh. Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao’s father Dronamraju Satyanarayana was a MP. Srinivas won as MLA twice from Vizag South in 2004 and 2009.
