Confirming numerous reports that Sujana Chowdary is willing to contest from the Vijayawada parliament constituency in the next election, the BJP leader himself confirmed his interest in contesting from the constituency in this year’s election.
Sujana briefly spoke with the media today and said he is ready to contest from any assembly or parliament segment in Vijayawada and emphasized that his focus will mainly be on the Vijayawada MP seat.
When asked about the possible alliances BJP will form in AP, Sujana said he is unaware of any such political happenings and said it is up to the party high command to decide on this. The senior leader said his sole aim will be to win from Vijayawada. With this, he has put his kerchief on the Vijayawada MP ticket from BJP. Given his prominence, he might be getting the BJP ticket without much competition.
YCP has already announced Kesineni Nani as their MP candidate for Vijayawada and TDP is likely to field Kesineni Chinnin from here. Sujana doesn’t appear to be bothered about this intense clash that is going to happen between the Kesineni brothers as he wishes to pick a fight for the Vijayawada MP post.
About the Amaravati movement, Sujana Chowdary said he personally feels Amaravati should continue as AP capital and added that the people of AP are also alike-minded about this.
