All Eyes On these 3 Constituencies In Krishna!

Published by

Three constituencies in united Krishna district are likely to witness a stiff fight among the candidates in the upcoming Assembly elections. The candidates of both the YCP and TDP are almost finalized from these constituencies. While the YCP has announced many of the names in the lists released so far, the TDP has not done it till now. However, it is being said that the TDP party in-charges of these constituencies would be elevated as candidates.

Both the YCP and TDP have been considering victory from these three constituencies very prestigious and they are keen on having the places in their kitty.

The three constituencies are – Gudivada, Gannavaram, Machilipatnam. Though the YCP has not finalized the name of the candidate from Gudivada constituency, traditionally it goes to former minister Kodali Nani. The TDP too has not finalized the party candidate from this place but NRI Venigandla Ramu’s is likely to be named soon. It is pertinent to note that he had been the man behind the ‘Raa .. Kadali Raa” public meeting held in a grand manner recently.

Nani and Ramu would lock horns over the vital constituency and there is buzz that whoever wins from the place, will do it with only a slight majority.

From the Machilipatnam constituency, the YCP had finalized Perni Krishnamurthy’s name and the TDP is likely to choose former minister Kollu Ravindra as his rival. TDP supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu also made an announcement to this effect but it has to be confirmed officially. While one of them is a senior, the other is a junior in politics, yet it is anticipated that there would be a tough competition between them.

Coming to Gannavaram, both the parties have not finalized their candidates. However, it is being speculated that Vallabhaneni Vamsi would contest on the YCP ticket and Yarlagadda Venkatrao on TDP ticket.

With the names almost finalized, it can be said that the election fight has already begun in these constituencies. It is worth noting that the TDP cadre is of the opinion that campaigning has kicked off in all the three places with the ‘Raa.. Kadali Raa’ public meeting.

During this meeting, the TDP boss introduced the three candidates from the constituencies and urged the voters to support them.
