Ahead of the historic Ram Mandir inauguration on January 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted a grand roadshow during his two-day visit to Tamil Nadu. Seeking blessings at the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple in Tiruchirappalli, where scholars recited verses from the Kamba Ramayanam, PM Modi also performed Pooja at the Sri Arulmigu Ramanathaswamy Temple in Rameswaram. Participating in the ‘Shri Ramayana Paryana’ program and a Bhajan Sandhya, he experienced devotional moments.
During the temple visit, a notable highlight was PM Modi receiving blessings from the elephant ‘Andal’ at the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, who played a mouth organ for him. The Prime Minister, extending warmth during a roadshow, greeted an elderly woman. Continuing his spiritual journey, PM Modi took a holy dip at the Sri Arulmigu Ramanathaswamy Temple in Rameswaram.
This visit aligns with PM Modi’s pattern of visiting temples associated with Lord Ram ahead of the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, showcasing the cultural and spiritual significance of his official state visits.
