The YCP high command has geared up completely for the upcoming elections. The party authorities have already issued four lists mentioning the candidates to be fielded from 58 Assembly constituencies and 10 Lok Sabha constituencies.
However, with some negative talk both in the public and among the party cadre, the YCP leadership, it is learnt, has decided to go for a re-survey and rethink about the change in the candidature. The buzz about the re-survey is sending jitters down the spine of the new candidates.
Now, there is information that a re-survey is being done to make more changes and that a fifth list is on the anvil.
According to sources, the high command received negative feedback about the allocation of a few new candidates finalized for some constituencies. Hence, the high command has second thoughts about such candidates and is planning to a re-survey in the specific constituencies, to accomplish the lofty goal of ‘Why Not 175/175?”
There is talk that the party cadre itself has given negative feedback about a few candidates finalized for the 68 constituencies, in the four lists so far. There is buzz that the candidates in these places might not be able to register victory. Hence, rethinking is being done just as re-tendering was done with respect to several government projects soon after the YCP assumed charge.
The constituencies which evoked negative talk about the candidates include Chilakaluripet, Pattipadu, Repalle, Vijayawada West. A resurvey would be done in these constituencies to take a final decision. .. there is opposition from cadre.. so resurvey.. new candidates allocated to these places cannot win.
