TDP’s senior leader and former Lok Sabha MP Sabbam Hari has retracted his comments. Following the demolition of the compound wall of his residence and the servant washroom, Sabbam had made serious comments. After his ‘objectionable’ remarks received backlash, Sabbam told the media that he is withdrawing his objectionable comments. He said he had made those comments in the heat of the moment after the GVMC officials high-handed nature.
Sabbam said he has always maintained calm and composure. He, however, admitted that he had lost his cool and balance. He said he himself is withdrawing his comments, but not out of fear for any. He also ruled out any external pressure. Sabbam maintained that he had not made any mistake. He said he had constructed the office with all necessary permissions of the GVMC in 2008 and 2009. Sabbam has also said he himself had written a letter to the collector last month to conduct a fair probe into the allegations. However, he said GVMC officials have demolished the wall at 4.30am in the morning without serving prior notices. Sabbam alleged that he was targeted for criticising the government. He said this was part of the revenge politics adopted by YSRCP.
Meanwhile, YSRCP’s senior leader and minister Botsa Satyanarayana said the law will take its own course in the issue of Sabbam Hari. Botsa said leaders who have stature in the society should use their words appropriately to keep up their value. Botsa said anyone who likes the work of Jagan’s administration and governance are welcome to join YSRCP fold.
