CM’s Son To Be In-charge Chief Minister?

Published by

After rumours of Udayanidhi Stalin to be made the Deputy Chief Minister, there is a fresh one doing rounds in the political circles of Tamil Nadu. According to the buzz, Udayanidhi would be handed over the duties of in-charge Chief Minister. Though there is no official confirmation about it from the DMK, there is a lot of speculation over when action would be taken to make it into a reality

During the earlier round of rumours, there was talk that Udayanidhi would be made the head of the DMK youth wing, along with being given party ticket and also a ministerial berth.

Accordingly, Udayanidhi is now enjoying all the positions. There had been buzz that he would be made the Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu since long but Chief Minister MK Stalin and Udayanidhi had been condemning the rumours.

Speculation is rife that the Udayanidhi’s position would be elevated before Stalin’s foreign tour or before the Lok Sabha polls.

However, Stalin brushed off the buzz saying that the opposition parties which had earlier ignited rumours about his ill health were now involved in Udayanidhi’s elevation in political position too.

Meanwhile, there is an argument that there is no need of an in-charge CM as all information is available in one’s palm, due to the technology growing in leaps and bounds.

There are others who contend that Stalin is slowly trying to pitch Udayanidhi as his heir in politics by raking up the issue in the political circles and also in the public.

It has to be seen how the DMK chief would respond to these rumours.
