Ex-CM of Telangana, KCR is presently in rehabilitation as he is recovering from the hip surgery that he recently underwent. On the work front, he has been dealt with a shock as the Telangana High Court ordered ACB to file a case against KCR immediately.
This case is related to the 11 acres of land in Kokapet that the then-KCR government allocated for the development of the BRS Excellence Center last year. The court ordered to name the then Revenue Secretary Naveen Mittal and other principal officers also in the case file.
The case was filed by a man named Venkatrami Reddy who alleged that the KCR government gave the 11-acre land worth around 1100 crore rupees at a throwaway price of 37.53 crore rupees for BRS party needs. Upon hearing the case, the High Court bench asked to file a case against ex-CM KCR and all the principal officers who are involved with the irrational land allocation.
Last year, the KCR government assigned the 11-acre land (survey number 239, 240) in the buzzing Kokapet area to the Institute of Excellence and Human Resource Development under the jurisdiction of the BRS party.
The division bench, chaired by the Chief Justice heard the case today and ordered the ACB Director General to file a case and commence investigation on the matter.
