On the 23rd of January, four BRS MLAs, Sunitha Lakshma Reddy (Narsapur), Kotha Prabhakar Reddy (Dubbaka), Gudem Mahipal Reddy (Patacheruvu) and Manik Rao (Zaheerabad) met CM Revanth Reddy. This led to speculations about them joining Congress but the MLAs shunned the reports by saying they met the CM only to discuss the protocol issues they were facing and clarified that they had no intention of joining Congres.
Today, yet another BRS MLA has paid a courtesy visit to Revanth Reddy’s residence. This MLA is Prakash Goud, who won from Rajendra Nagar on BRS ticket in the recent election. The meeting reportedly went on for thirty minutes. The government authorities have termed this meeting as a “Courtesy call”. The MLA had a bright smile on his face while posing to the camera along with Revanth.
Prakash is the 5th BRS MLA to meet Revanth Reddy in the last 5 days and while these meetings might be termed as courtesy calls, the BRS high command should not be comfortable with as many MLAs meeting Revanth Reddy. With the Lok Sabha elections under 3 months from today, the ‘courtesy’ meetings between BRS MLAs and Revanth have led to multiple speculations.
