A shocking incident that happened in Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Hindupur constituency has come to light now and is causing a stir. It has something to do with local YCP leaders protesting and having a newly laid road dug up.
According to the media reports, upon the requests from the public, Balakrishna sanctioned Rs 6.5 lakh funds from MP Kesineni Nani’s quota for the CC road works at the SC Colony in Upparapalli, Lepakshi Mandal, Hindupur. A local contractor took up the project and laid a new CC road for a 100-meter stretch at the SC colony, and additionally, a 10-meter road was laid at the Nayanapally SC colony.
However, allegedly, this anguished the local YCP leaders and they reportedly shouted at the contractor for assembling the road without their permission. The local YCP leadership protested against the laying of the road and it eventually resulted in the contractor himself having to demolish the road using a proclainer.
In the end, a newly laid road was dug up using a JCB proclainer in under a week from its completion due to the protests from YCP leaders who allegedly argued that no one else but them should carry such work in the area. This resulted in the wastage of MP funds and the villagers not having a road. This incident drew backlash for local YCP leadership.
