For the first time since the formation of Telangana, KCR is stepping into the Telangana assembly as an opposition leader as is all set to take the oath as an MLA in the assembly tomorrow. Earlier, KCR couldn’t take the oath along with other MLAs as he had a slip-and-fall incident and was subsequently treated for it. So, he is doing the honors tomorrow.
KCR will be reaching the assembly at around 12 PM tomorrow and have his oath-taking ceremony at 12:45 PM. He will take the oath as the MLA and also the opposition leader of the Telangana assembly.
In another first, the Telangana assembly will witness Revanth Reddy and KCR’s roles reversed with the Congress chief operating as the CM and the BRS chief taking the opposition leader position. The coming assembly session in Telangana with Revanth and KCR in the designated positions should be very interesting.
After Revanth Reddy lost the 2018 assembly elections from Kodangal, he wasn’t seen in the assembly as he later won as an MP from Malkajgiri and went to the parliament. So technically after 6 years, the Telangana assembly will see the face-off between Revanth and KCR.
