The election battle has descended on Andhra Pradesh and the entire focus is on YCP and TDP-JSP candidates list. After, YCP announced its fifth list of MLA/MP candidates last night, a tentative list of 13 TDP-JSP MP candidates reported by a reliable Telugu media channel has started to trend on social media.
Going by the list of TDP-MP tentative MP candidates, Rammohan Naidu is retaining his Srikakulam MP seat, which is already expected. The interesting names on the list are Raghu Rama Krishna Raju, Lavu Krishna Deva Rayulu, and Vallabhaneni Balashouri. These three sitting MPs left YCP and now look likely to contest on TDP-JSP alliance ticket.
Raghu Rama and Lavu are likely to get TDP tickets from Narsapuram and Narasaraopeta respectively while Balashouri who joined JSP a few days ago could get Machilipathnam MP ticket.
Then there is the much-debated Vijayawada MP seat. Kesineni Nani who was a TDP loyalist and won twice as an MP from here, has shifted to YCP and is vowing to finish TDP in Vijayawada. TDP has reacted quickly and Nani’s brother Kesineni Chinni is nearly confirmed to contest on TDP ticket here. The clash of brothers will be an interesting one.
TDP has apparently replaced the Anakapalle MP candidate from 2019, Adari Anand Kumar with Bairi Dilip Chakravarthy.
Mathukumilli Bharat(GITAM) who unsuccessfully contested as Vizag MP and lost in 2019 has managed to retain his ticket for 2024. He has matured as a politician and is working on more effective electioneering in this election.
Kakinada MP ticket is likely to go to Sana Satish Kumar and he is one of the two MP candidates from JanaSena with the other being Balashouri as reported above.
Gopal Yadav is likely to get the Eluru MP ticket, while Angalakuthi Niharika’s name is heard for the Tirupati MP ticket. Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Hindupur could have BK Parthasarathi as the MP candidate while Rajampet and Anantapur could have Sugavasi Balasubrahmanyam and Kalva Srinivasulu respectively.
This isn’t the finalized list of MP candidates, as mentioned before, but it looks likely that many of these names, if not all of them will feature in the TDP’s final list which is more than likely to be out this week. Chandra Babu is proactively working on finalizing this list.
