After a 10-year struggle, the Congress party finally managed to form the government in Telangana with Revanth Reddy as the CM. However, according to YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy, this victory will be short-lived for Congress as he said the Congress government will soon fall in Telangana.
Speaking in the parliament today, the YCP MP said “Congress bifurcated Andhra Pradesh in the guise of special status just so that it can come to power in Telangana. But the people rejected them bluntly and the party failed miserably in Telangana also.” When Congress MPs raised objections, Vijayasai added “After 10 years of struggle, they have told so many lies and they have come to power in Telangana.”
Vijayasai stated “It is only a matter of time. The Congress government is going to fall in Telangana.”
Vijayasai, an MP from YCP, that has no stakes in Telangana commenting about the local government and claiming that it is only a matter of time before it falls is leading to all kinds of debates.
Telangana Congress supporters comment that Vijayasai did something completely unwarranted by commenting about the stability of the Telangana government. They say he is singing to the tune of BRS leaders who have been making false claims that the Revanth Reddy government will fall very soon.
The timing of this statement from Vijayasai, that too in the parliament, is a day after CM Revanth Reddy challenged Jagan to come to Nagarjuna Sagar with AP police over water disputes like how did when KCR was the CM. Earlier, Revanth Reddy had commented that Jagan didn’t even make a customary phone call to him after he won as Telangana CM. This showed that there are no cordial relations between the YCP government and the new Congress government in Telangana.
But for whatever reason, an AP MP saying Congress-government will fall in Telangana only escalates the existing non-diplomatic relations between the two governments further, remarked an analyst.
