Andhra Pradesh is going to polls for the third time since the bifurcation and the situation in 2024 is similar to that of 2014. While TDP and JSP are already in alliance, BJP has been delaying the decision on the alliance. But with the election just 8 weeks away, the BJP has decided to speed up the process.
According to the flash reports, TDP supremo Chandra Babu is on his way to Delhi now to meet BJP top-league leaders. The nature of the meeting is to navigate the possibility of the alliance and the plan of action that is to be followed in case the BJP on-boards the existing TDP-JSP alliance.
BJP local leadership in AP has left the decision to the central leaders and likewise, Chandra Babu is meeting the Delhi bosses to discuss the alliance plan. The all-important meeting is happening on February 7th and it could potentially confirm the TDP-JSP-BJP alliance, as was seen in 2014.
While it was earlier anticipated that Pawan Kalyan might mediate the alliance, things have taken a big turn with Chandra Babu himself on the way to Delhi. This way, the decision can be taken decisively and quickly. We could see a crucial development in AP politics after Naidu’s meeting with BJP Delhi bosses tomorrow.
