The Rajya Sabha election results are happening on February 26th and the ruling party of Andhra Pradesh YSR Congress is on a mission to win all 3 seats that are up for grabs. The chief minister YS Jagan has reportedly finalized the three candidates that YCP will strengthen in the RS election.
YSR Congress has reportedly finalized Golla Babu Rao, Meda Raghunatha Reddy, and YV Subba Reddy as the three candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections. CM Jagan has accepted their candidature and they are confirmed to contest in the RS election.
While it is confirmed that YSRCP will win two of the three seats with its MLA strength in the assembly, the suspense continues on the third seat as there is no clear idea of the number of YCP MLAs that are against the party. This is due to the large exodus of YCP’s sitting MLAs into TDP and the prevailing silent rebellion of MLAs who are distraught with Jagan’s plan to alter their constituencies. As a result, there is a lot of anxiety involved with the impending RS election.
