Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy blamed former CM and BRS boss K. Chandrasekhar Rao for doing injustice to Telangana in sharing Krishna water with Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking in the Assembly about the injustice in water sharing with neighbouring AP, Revanth Reddy said that KCR was so impressed with the ragi sankati and royyala pulusu served on his platter by MLA Roja, who is a minister now, and promised to turn Rayalaseema into Ratanala Seema.
KCR did not care about the basins (of various projects that deprived Telangana of its rightful watershare) or about the welfare of the people in Telangana, Revanth Reddy said. In an attempt to be very generous, KCR told the elected representatives of AP to take the Krishna water for their use.
Now, after the Congress government came to power, he is asking Congress leaders about how can Telangana be deprived of its water share. Who should take the responsibility for this, Revanth asked.
In the same manner, KCR allowed the construction of Mucchumarri project by TDP supremo and former CM N. Chandrababu Naidu and also allowed late YSR to increase the capacity of Pothireddypadu to 44,000 cusecs.
Further, he reminded that KCR had shown his affection towards his counterpart Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy when the latter came to Telangana by agreeing for the construction of Rayalaseema LI project, after serving him a majestic meal at the Pragati Bhavan. The foundation stone for the Rayalaseema project was laid on the dining table on which Jagan was served a lavish lunch, Revanth ridiculed.
