What a Damage in Medigadda: Revanth Released Pics

Published by

Ahead of parliament elections in Telangana, both the ruling Congress and the opposition BRS are levelling allegations and counter-allegations. KCR addressed a public meeting in Nalgonda and lambasted the Congress government. Heightening this, CM Revanth Reddy, ministers and MLAs have inspected the Medigadda barrage of the Kaleshwaram project and found some shocking damages in its construction. The Kaleshwaram project, touted as a monumental endeavour to address the state’s water scarcity issues, has come under intense scrutiny following allegations of mismanagement and corruption by the previous government.

CM Revanth & Co spotted a large crack. Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Reddy minced no words highlighting the flaws in the project and shared the pictures. This is now going viral. Reddy pointed out that despite massive investments running into lakhs of crores, the project has failed to deliver on its promises, leaving the people of Telangana disillusioned.

In a scathing attack against the previous KCR government, Revanth accused KCR of prioritizing personal interests over the welfare of the people, labelling the project as a symbol of KCR’s insatiable greed for money. Revanth said it is more than just infrastructural failure – it signifies a betrayal of the trust and hopes of the four crore people of Telangana. He drew parallels to the ideals of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of India’s constitution and a symbol of social justice, whose vision for Telangana has been distorted by the previous BRS government’s actions.

Referring to the initial plans outlined by the Pranahita – Chevella project, Revanth lamented the deviation from the original vision, accusing KCR of using the project for political gains at the expense of the state’s development. He emphasized that the collapse of faith in the project reflects the broader disillusionment of the people with the government’s policies and priorities.

Reddy’s visit to Medigadda, alongside fellow ministers and legislators, was not merely a symbolic gesture but a stark reminder of the failures that have marred the Kaleshwaram project. He asserted that it is imperative to hold those responsible for the mismanagement and corruption within the project accountable, signalling a call for justice and accountability. He said those responsible shall be punished.
