Rajya Sabha MP from YSR Congress, Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy who is one of the senior-most leaders in the party has dropped a big signal that his time with Jagan is drawing to a close soon. After skipping Jagan’s call-up in Delhi recently, Vemireddy flew off to Dubai. After returning from Dubai, he avoided YCP activities and went on to meet Chandrababu Naidu.
Vemireddy was announced as YCP’s Nellore Parliamentary in-charge but his demand was that the party high command should give the MLA tickets to his favorable candidates. But YCP didn’t meet this proposal and that reportedly instigated Vemireddy to look at TDP and knowing his seniority, he should be presented with the TDP MP ticket from Nellore constituency.
Reports are saying that Vemireddy and his wife Prasanthi could be joining TDP soon. The meeting between Vemireddy and Chandrababu has led to the reports that his joining in TDP is only a formality.
YCP has recently lost its sitting MPs Lavu Krishna Deva Rayulu, Balashouri, and Sanjeev Kumar. Losing Rajya Sabha MP and a veteran from Nellore, Vemireddy could be a fatal blow to the party as the senior leader had a role to play in YCP winning all 10 MLA seats in Nellore in the last election.
