The Congress has won the elections and even formed the government in Telangana. However, it is still not confident that their government would remain stable for the next five years.
The BRS might have lost the elections but if it can pull 10 legislators out of the Congress, it will be able to push the Congress into trouble, even though it might not be able to form the government.
Also, the Congress has information that BRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s image is intact, despite the party’s rout in the elections.
In this situation, the Congress is now focusing on blemishing the image of KCR for which reason it has been keeping on raising the issues of corruption and misgovernance during KCR rule.
Congress’ Revanth Reddy is on a mission to cause all possible damage to KCR’s image. It is being said that KCR still has strong votebank in urban and rural areas.
If the Congress has to feel certain about its continuation in power, it has to weaken KCR. For the same reason, Revanth’s government has been going on targeting KCR by going for White Papers on welfare schemes, power, farmers welfare, etc.
The Congress aims to reduce KCR’s strength through constant criticism.
The BRS has been defeated but KCR still has the charm among the voters.
To counter KCR’s image, the Congress will have to claim that they had been instrumental in the formation of the separate state and also in establishing ‘Bangaru Telangana’.
