The BRS party faced a crushing defeat in recent Telangana elections and in the aftermath, the KCR party is losing its key leaders to Congress. Sitting MP Venkatesh Netha, and ex-deputy CM T Rajaiah have already joined Congress. As reported today, Allu Arjun’s father-in-law Chandrasekhar Reddy is also likely to join Congress soon.
This exodus is not stopping any soon for BRS as 4 noted leaders of the party joined Congress today. Former MLA and ex-minister Patnam Mahender Reddy has Congress in the presence of Revanth Reddy today.
Former mayor Bontu Rammohan, and another BRS senior Thigala Krishna Reddy, along with his daughter-in-law Anita Reddy have also joined the ruling party formally today.
The sitting deputy mayor Srilata Shoban Reddy who recently met Revanth Reddy has also made the political switch today as she too took the Congress oath.
All these BRS leaders who are known faces at BRS’s Telangana Bhavan have queued up outside the Gandhi Bhavan today as they joined the Congress party. Losing 4 noted leaders in a single day is not what the hurting BRS wants before the important Lok Sabha elections and this could surely ring danger bells near the ears of KCR.
