MP Revealed The Reason Why He Quits YCP

Published by

Narasaraopet MP Sri Krishna Devarayulu’s statement over why he had quit the YCP has become a sensation in the political circles and among the general public.

Recently, Devarayulu held a press meet and revealed to the mediapersons the reason behind quitting the YCP.

He said that the YCP leadership had asked him to shift to Guntur which he refused to do at any cost. “The YCP leadership promised to send me to the Rajya Sabha in case, I get defeated in Guntur but I did not accede to any of the proposals.”

When he revealed his intention to stick to Narasaraopet alone, Devarayulu said that he was asked to prove his loyalty to the YCP. For this, he said he was asked to arrange press conferences and keep lambasting and insulting the Opposition parties.

Devarayulu said that he did not accept for that as he did not like that approach and hence, quit the party.

He also recalled that all the YCP MLAs of Palnadu region went to meet Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy in the past when the CM indicated that all the MLAs should badmouth the opposition leaders, by asking the presspersons to attend meetings.

The YCP leadership is firm that the MLAs should prove their allegiance and loyalty to the party by insulting the opposition parties, Devarayulu said.

The Palnadu region MLAs conveyed the same to me. “I felt I need not do all this to prove my loyalty after having been with the party for such a long time.”

These remarks by the Narasaraopet MLA are grabbing the electorate’s attention in the state.
