As the Andhra Pradesh elections are fast approaching, the newly appointed AP Congress president YS Sharmila is trying her best to bring down what she called “dictator rule” in the state. In an effort to boost up Congress’s poll campaign, she met Telangana CM Revanth Reddy last week and discussed contemporary political topics. This meeting happened after Sharmila flew to Delhi and met Sonia Gandhi.
According to the latest buzz, Sharmila presented her proposal to Sonia Gandhi about bringing proven orator and firebrand leader Revanth Reddy to AP for the poll campaign. Internal talk is that Sonia approved the plan, post which, Sharmila took it up to Revanth himself and he too reacted positively. Consequently, Revanth’s entry in the AP poll campaign is not far from now.
Sharmila is currently busy with the wedding festivities of her son Raja Reddy. She could be holding a big public meeting on February 20th in the presence of Congress stalwarts.
Coming back to Revanth Reddy’s public meeting in AP, it could be materializing by the end of this month. The blueprint is reportedly being prepared to hold the event in Vizag towards the end of February. This meeting could feature not just Telangana CM Revanth Reddy but also Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah. Considering the gravity of this massive poll meeting, the manifesto of Congress could also be announced at the meeting.
After claiming Karnataka and Telangana, the Congress is wilfully putting he best efforts to improve its position in Andhra Pradesh. Revanth Reddy could act as a catalyst of this. Watching two good orators Sharmila and Revanth on the same stage could greatly enhance the morale of AP Congress workers.
