YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is basing his candidate selection on the IPAC survey reports and on this stream, he has shifted 70 MLAs till now. But Jagan is still not done with these IPAC meetings and he reportedly sat down for another meeting with the political agency just recently.
According to the internal buzz, Jagan commissioned IPAC to hold ground-level surveys in YSR Congress’s strong zones like Nellore, Kadapa, Kurnool, and Anantapur. These districts outrightly stood with Jagan in 2019 election and the YCP boss wants to do whatever it takes to maintain a strong fist hold on these four districts.
The IPAC report on these four districts is based on the strengths of YCP candidates locally compared to the strengths of opposition parties and their candidates. If this IPAC report suggests that YCP is weaker than the opposition parties in any of the MLA segments in these four districts, Jagan might not think twice before changing the party MLA candidates. This has left the candidates bothered about the Jagan-IPAC meeting as they fear that Jagan might ring in more changes exclusively based on the IPAC report.
Apart from the candidate selection, Jagan is reportedly discussing the manifesto also with this IPAC team. An enhanced version of 2019’s Navaratnalu could be finalized for Jagan’s 2024 manifesto. Party seniors like Ummareddy Venkateswarulu are working parallelly on the manifesto, reports say.
