The honorary chief priest of Tirumala temple, Ramana Deekshitulu is no short of controversies and he again made headlines after a murky video went viral, in which he made scathing allegations against the TTD and Ahobilam Mutt.
After the video went viral on social platforms, the TTD committee fired him from the honorary chief priest position. A police case was also filed against him at the Tirumala police station under sections of the Indian Penal Code related to hate speech, mischief, and criminal intimidation.
The Ahobilam Mutt condemned these comments and asked the state government and police authorities to take stringent action against Deekshitulu.
Ramana Deekshitulu’s action (alleged hate speech in viral video) has been met with vigorous reaction from the TTD as he was fired from the post and on top of that, a police case has been filed against him.
When asked to comment on this matter, Ramana Deekshitulu said the video is a morphed one and he didn’t say any of that on or off the record. He said he can’t help it if certain people want to see him as a guilty man.
