KCR Assigned Work To KTR & Harish, Limited Kavitha!

Published by

BRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao held a crucial meeting at his Erravelli farmhouse with party working president K.T. Rama Rao, Harish Rao, Kavitha and other important leaders. Reportedly, he discussed the strategy the party should follow in the upcoming Parliament elections. This apart, he also deliberated on the campaigning, selection of candidates and coordination work. According to sources, this is the first time that KCR had met a significant number of party leaders, after the party’s rout in the Assembly elections.

Party sources said that Kavitha’s role in campaignining, coordination and selection of candidates is just nominal. Much of the task has been assigned to KTR and Harish Rao.

It is significant to note that KCR had confined himself to addressing public meetings during the last Assembly elections while KTR and Harish Rao were involved in addressing roadshows, rallies, surveys and coordination of the party leaders and social media activists, party candidates and the cadre.

Despite all these efforts, the party had to yield to the public mandate and was defeated. KCR contested from two constituencies. Though he lost in Kamareddy, his victory from Gajwel saved his prestige.

KTR and Harish Rao also won from the respective constituencies they had contested.

Ahead of the general elections, it is learnt that KCR had asked KTR and Harish Rao to activate the second-rung leaders and other cadre of the party, who had become complacent after the party’s rout in the Assembly elections.

It is learnt that KCR had asked the senior party leaders to coordinate among the MP candidates, MLAs and former MLAs.

KCR directed that the campaigning and other related work should be given to the party leaders in the constituencies.

According to party sources, KCR also told the leaders that he would finalise about the allocation of the constituencies to the MLAs and former MLAs in the next few days.

He also asked the party leaders to focus on exposing the Congress’ failures in the implementation of the Six Guarantees.
