The government of Andhra Pradesh, led by YSR Congress commissioned the construction of a lavish palace-like building at the Rushikonda area in Vizag. While the government identified this building as an AP tourism department project, there are countless media reports and opposition parties allegations that this building will be CM Jagan’s camp office in Vizag.
In a new update, AP tourism minister Roja is on course to inaugurate this building in Rushkonda today. The inauguration ceremony is reportedly being carried out in a low-key manner without much fanfare from the government’s side. A huge police fleet is reportedly deployed in the area to control any untoward incidents.
The court had earlier ordered the YSRC government to clearly mention the use of this building in Rushikonda. The government did not revert to this court order in a consolidated manner till now. But the building is being inaugurated by Roja today.
In the earlier quotation, the government sanctioned Rs 198 crores for the Rushikonda building but towards the end, over Rs 450 crores were allegedly spent on the construction of this building.
